The 1st Chapter of DWI Extreme

The 1st Chapter of DWI Extreme consists of the first ten normal series (DWI Extreme I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, and X) along with special series DWI Extreme - The Greatest Hits and DWI Extreme - Glistening To Infinity. The main music genres in this chapter are Konami Tranplants music and various of electronic sub-genres. Blue Style Series, a different simfile series, was featured as series collaboration in this chapter.

The categories of "DWI Extreme Original" and "Konami Transplant" were fully introduced, and the categories of "Long Version," "USA Regional Promo," and "From Dancemania" were partially and temporarily introduced.

The series categories for the first chapter of DWI Extreme are as follows:

DWI Extreme Original (For Normal Series)

Any songs that are not related to any Bemani game-play series or any songs whose the main artists (not the featuring artists) are not from Bemani game-play series are to be included under this category. However, there are exceptions for Bemani-related songs to be placed under this category:

Konami Transplant

Any songs that are originally came from any Bemani game-play series or Bemani original soundtracks are to be included in this category. If any shortened versions of the full-version songs are created by a Bemani artist, and if the shortened versions are same as the shortened versions in any Bemani game-play series or Bemani original soundtracks, they are to be included in this category.

Any songs that are either in original versions or remixed versions and are over three minutes in length are to be included in this category.

This category has been discontinued since DWI Extreme VI. It may be considered to be reopened for future series.

Any Non-Bemani songs that are chosen to be released regionally in certain appointed Premiere Forums are to be included in this category. Songs under this category are to be first released in either United States Bemani-related websites or non-United States bemani-related websites, which means not all the visitors around the world can download the songs under this category in all Premiere Forums. However, songs under this category will be fully released one or two series after the series in which these songs are included. When these songs are appointed to be fully released, this entire category, USA Regional Promo, will become a subcategory under DWI Extreme Revival in future series.

Staff Language / Abbreviation

EX

GTI

Abbreviation for Glistening To Infinity.

Special Gallops

Staff Use - Abbreviation for one-twelfth or one-twenty-fourth arrows, which are not commonly appeared in DWI Extreme Series.

Standard DWI Extreme Length

Staff Use - The standard length of a song for a simfile. Although there have been exceptions in the past due to editing difficulty and transplant from another simfile series, for now, the range of the Standard DWI Extreme Length is from 1 minute and 20 seconds to 1 minute and 50 seconds ending at the last beat of the song or at the end of the fading. Exception can be made if an included simfile is a transplant from another series, but it cannot be longer than 2 minutes and 15 seconds.

TGH

Abbreviation for The Greatest Hits.

The Abstract "N"-footer

Staff Use - It refers to a stepchart in which the stepchart patterns, besides following the drumbeats, do not follow the music patterns rhythmically or lyrically. In most cases, this term is used when simfile authors want to create more difficult stepcharts for songs that do not contribute the corresponding stepchart difficulties rhythmically or lyrically. The variable "N" in the term refers to the desired difficulty of the indicating stepchart. For example, if the desired difficulty of the abstract stepchart is 8, it would be called the Abstract 8-footer.

The Artist Font Rule

Staff Use - This rule refers to the behavior of continuously using the same type of font to the same artist featured in the series:
